PMI Risk Management Professional Training

The PMI-RMP is a credential for those who assess and identify project risks and mitigate threats and capitalize on opportunities. This is the opening sentence of the PMI Risk Management Professional Handbook that you can find on the PMI Website. In the past I never fully understood the PMI's goals in creating and promoting this type of certificate. It seemed to me much too focused on one particular area of project management. However, it looks like I might have been wrong.

Over the past months I have received a number of emails asking me if I provided a training for the PMI-RMP similar to The PM PrepCast (for CAPM and PMP). This has encouraged me to look deeper into this matter.

I contacted Janice Preston, PMP who was a major contributor to the Project Risk Management sections of the 2000, 2004 and 2008 PMBOK® Guide and asked if she would like to collaborate on a PMI-RMP training. Yes, she certainly would, was her response.

Janice and I are now in the early stages of defining a PMI-RMP Podcast and we need your help:

Please take our short survey (8 questions) about the PMI Risk Management Professional and help us understand what type of training is needed to help you prepare. Please take the survey even if you don't plan on taking the exam (that shortens the survey to just 3 questions).

Thank you for your feedback!
